I've got your work shirker of the week here. This site gives users the ability to tell the world what they think "The Best Stuff in the World" might be.
Here's the rundown from their FAQ page...
"So what is The Best Stuff in the World about?
The Best Stuff in the World is an open, organic, polymorphous site which, depending on the user, could take on diverse forms and meanings. The site simply asks you to input your "best stuff" in the world: whether it be a song that inspires you, your favourite little Indian restaurant or the best explication of Kantian aesthetics ... it's up to you!"
There is a cool little community vibe here, though less direct personal info is offered than on the average MySpace page. But that might be a good thing. The site is overall a lot more comfortable and less cluttered than other more "friendship" oriented sites. And while I am not suggesting that The Best Stuff in the World would replace MySpace and the like, it is a refreshing twist on the idea.
They're up for a Webby Award, so if you think they are one of the best things in the world, you might cast a vote their way.
