Since the advent of broadcast television, the exploitation of all manner of goods and services through commercial advertising has all but become the very frame work within which actual programming is contained, as opposed to the contrary.

While billions are spent every year on air time alone, the skill, innovation and creativity of many of todays writers, directors and designers have become nearly priceless commodities as businesses strive to have their products and brands stand out in the crowd.

Brand New School is emerging as a force to be reckoned with in the industry, as they produce some of the coolest TV and Web spots incorporating video, illustration and some of the latest animation and effects technologies. On their Website you can peruse some of their current and past work. Some you're sure to recognize, others are brand new. The D&A, Target and the Jeep Compass ads show off some of the BNS team's amazing animation and effects skill, and though slightly more traditional in form, from a writing, directing and acting standpoint I particularly enjoyed the comical Here's to Beer series created for and hosted by a Website of the same name.
